Save Medicare/Medicaid/Obamacare by raising or adding which taxes?

By now, we all know that government provided health"insurance" is on a collision course with lack of funding. Either benefits have to be cut or taxes raised -- or we kick the can down the road and make things worse in the 2020s.

So, which taxes that you actually pay are you willing to increase? and by how much?

If this is not enough revenue, what's your next choice of tax that you actually pat to make higher?

[You can not validly raises taxes on businesses unless you are a business owner.]

With both tax increases and benefit cuts being untenable to a bipartisan congress, I think medicare's future is that it will turn into a voucher program. People will be left to find their own insurance and can use their voucher to offset that cost. People who can afford to pay the difference between the cost of insurance and their voucher will receive top notch first-world medical care, those who can't will be screwed.

Obamacare works fine. Give it time. You're talking about a complete overhaul of the two biggest institutions we have. Health care and health insurance! The stupid con/Repubs want instant results! No way. It'll take about 10 years easy. Be patient guys. Socialized medicine will be just fine. Don't listen to all the crap!

I know how we'll these programs with all the trimmings of Thanksgiving.

Here's the new Tax Return Format

Form 1040 Individual Income Tax Return

Line 1) How much did you make? $_________.00

Line 2) How much tax was withheld $_________.00

    Line 3) Subtract Line 2 from line 1 $_________.00

Line 4) Write a check to the US Treasury for the amount on line 3

and mail it to the following address:

    Internal Revenue Service Center

    Fresno, CA 93888

I would remove the income cap on the Social Security withholding tax, (6.2%/12.4%)and make it unlimited, as it already is with the Medicare tax,(1.45%/2.9%).

Also, just go and show up at any nursing home and take the tour, and you will see many, many people who just stare at the ceiling all day who can't even control their own drool, and are fed artificially though tubes punched through their stomachs. Why? Because "I wants everything done for mama!" is the usual reason. And we spend billions of healthcare dollars on these "people".

If we just made tube feedings illegal for the demented, we would have more than enough savings to give everybody basic health coverage.
