Should I have taken my lawn mower and motorcycle battery out and stored them in the basement? Trickle charge, how long?

Get a charger that maintains the battery, they wont over charge it.

Trickle chargers usually have a 2 amp charge position and are the same as a "battery tender" that can just be left on the battery.
