My new doctor cancelled the refills on the prescription my old doctor gave me. Is this legal?

    Yes, it is legal. As a patient, you don't decide which prescriptions you need. Your doctor does that. Otherwise, you could have multiple prescriptions from multiple doctors, and they're on to that scam. There's a term for it: Doctor shopping.

    Yes. He obviously feels that it should not be refilled. That is his right - he's the doctor.

    You're not legally entitled to drugs. If your new doctor thinks the prescription is not in your best interest, he/she can cancel them. And if you go in there jonesing for a hit of that drug, guess what, they made the right call, because you're an addict.
