Was this law from God the first-ever in human history that freed slaves who ran away?

"15 If a slave has taken refuge with you, do not hand them over to their master. 16 Let them live among you wherever they like and in whatever town they choose. Do not oppress them."

Deuteronomy 23: 15-16

By how many years did this pre-date the U.S. Underground Railroad?

You now those slave from the U.S. Underground Railroad escape from their very Christians master don't you?

In the 1860s, Southern preachers defending slavery also took the Bible literally. They asked who could question the Word of God when it said, “slaves, obey your earthly masters with fear and trembling” (Ephesians 6:5)

This law was before Moses HOWEVER due to the corruption of Mankind God had to speak through Moses & brother Aaron because man doesn't listen to the Holy Word within himself
