I asked a question and the replies were 1-800 numbers, they are saying those are scams. Is that true?

The support number answers are all fraudulent.

If you are talking about those responses where they use ^ instead of - inside of the numbers... absolutely those are all tech. scams. Do NOT call those numbers. They'll just insist there is something horribly wrong with your computer and that you need to pay lots of money to have them connect to your computer remotely to fix the problem.

Yahoo doesn't have any direct toll-free numbers, so if you ever see someone providing such a number, it is fake.
