You're either devoted to Christ or you're devoted to yourself. There's no in between. A true Christian is a radical Christian. Jesus said that you must cut off your hand if it offends you. He's not calling for bodily Mutilation, but is saying if there's something in your life that is a priority that causes you to sin, therefore get rid of it and pursue Christ with all your heart. The only way you can be saved is if God draws you and gives you grace and Jesus saves you. He saves you from slavery to sin into a character of Christ. If God calls you you need to follow and not play games and seek him. Trust in him to save you, the evidence of him changing you is proof of salvation.

The Bible does not teach the doctrine of ‘once saved, always saved.’ A person who has gained salvation by faith in Jesus Christ can lose that faith and the salvation that comes with it. The Bible says that maintaining faith requires great effort, a “hard fight.” (Jude 3, 5) Early Christians who had already accepted Christ were told: “Keep working out your own salvation with fear and trembling.”—Philippians 2:12.

Check out the parable of the prodigal son starting at Luke 15:11 to see how God feels about someone who wishes to return to the faith. Also check out Matthew 6:33 regarding the proper attitude to have toward your devotion. We all have difficulty devoting ourselves adequately to Jesus, but the wording of your question is troubling because it suggests that you have some intent to set your priority elsewhere. Setting a priority above God is idolatry. There's no reason you should ever consciously decide to devote your life to anything else, and if this other object of your devotion is truly good for you then God will see to it that you have it, and not that it has you.

The Bible says that words are nothing without actions. Lead as a missionary, or even in your own local community. Seek a relationship with God. Get to know him better.
