I eat meat as part of a reasonably balanced nutritional diet because it's "food". Given the society I live in, my background and culture and the fact that I'm an omnivore, it seems a fairly normal, logical thing to eat. If I believed that my not eating meat was going to bring an end to all animal cruelty, or even have any effect on it at all, I would certainly consider becoming vegetarian.
Meat does not cause and "diseases" but not eating it requires care to ensure that your nutritious and healthy (that nothing is "missing").
If Americans are against innocent people being killed, why are the vun laws not changed so private individuals can't own guns?
If people are against climate change then why are they atill driving cars?
If people like trees and woods and forrests then why are they still using wood?

Why does the fact I eat meat automatically mean I'm 'pro animal cruelty'. I actually buy all my meat from my local butchers and they get the meat from a local farm, the owner of which I'm a very good friend with. I know for a fact that all his animals are treated very well and when their time does come its done very humanly.
I'm very aware of what I consume and where it has come from, another example is the fact I always buy free range eggs. Just because someone eats meat doesn't necessarily mean they support animal cruelty.

No animal lover would be cruel enough to keep pets in unnatural captivity for their own pleasure.
What diseases do you think are caused by eating meat as part of a balanced diet?
If we all stop eating meat, there will be millions of farm animals that will need to be slaughtered and go to waste - animals that were well cared for, never hungry, protected from predators and whose only reason for existence was to feed humans .... and their pet cats and dogs etc.

I have yet to make the decision to go vegan but I think it is the right choice. If you ever seen a cow loved by a child, you will recognize that killing it is wrong. Its not just some animal, it has feelings just like we do, and can have a consciousness, though less, in someways, similar to our own.

I absolutely do not want to see animals in pain and having to suffer from human violence. They have life like us. Those who oppose what I say and dismiss me as crazy and weird, they need to take a big look at themselves. I feel bad for whoever raised them.

It's what we do... It's what we have been doing for 7 million years. If YOU don't want to eat meat, that is your prerogative. Don't judge others for eating meat as humans have been doing for 7 million years.

So God provided hoofed animals and poultry for humans to eat. God provided for humans dogs and cats as companion animals.
