Narrow topic ideas about Rome? I have an AP World argumentative report that I want to do about Rome.?

So far I have these ideas:

The fall of Rome was inevitable

The fall of Rome greatly affected European culture for the next few hundred years

Internal factors played more of a role in the fall of Rome

These major topics have been done to death. Some ideas:

The effect of mass entertainment on the Roman populace.

Roman Sex: why did the Romans have sex paintings in so many houses, in plain view? It used to be thought this was indicative of a brothel, but archaeologists know that is not true. John R. Clarke, for instance, hypothesized that humor was one reason for the proliferation of erotic art: "Looking at Lovemaking: Constructions of Sexuality in Roman Art 100 B.C.–A.D. 250."

Religion in Rome: there were traditional Roman religions, but during the Empire many foreign religions became popular and were practiced in Rome: Judaism, Mithraism, Isis cults, and of course Christianity. Montesquieu attributed the fall of Rome in part to the popularity of Epicureanism!

Why not do a study of Rome's interactions with Asia? There was an enormous trade with India via the Red Sea, and contacts with China through the Silk Road.

Here at YA, there seems to be a few users who insist that if not for the Fall of Rome, humans might have been a thousand years ahead of the present, even insisting there could have been manned missions to the Moon before 100 AD. I absolutely categorically reject this supposition, based on the fact that Roman astronomy and Physics was quite primitive, despite some amazing artifacts such as the Antikythera Device. A study of Roman technology might make an interesting paper.

You've got to be more specific. All the ones you have listed are pretty general and have been overused. If I were you, here are some topics I would try to tackle -

Are the Romans innovators or merely just people who refined technology?

Was Rome as an empire politically stable or do we have misconceptions about that?

Did feudalism have its roots during or after the fall of the Roman empire?

Did the Roman empire actually fall in 476 AD or not?

Rome is undoubtedly one the absolute most beautiful cities on the planet; every year an incredible number of tourists result from around the globe to admire the treasures and projects of Roman art and architecture and to be one you will have to begin with Hotelbye . One of the very popular of Rome's several pieces is Piazza Navona. That place preserves the shape of the Stadium of Domitian that once stood here. Piazza Navona was builted by Emperor Domitian in 86 AD and has three magnificent fountains.

You call these topics narrow? A narrower topic would be Roman law, or Roman ideas about marriage.
