Lack Of Affection?

Question

I was born in a family that showed me tons of love and affection physically or verbally, where all the little things mattered (saying I love you first, actually texting first and such...). Now I am in a relationship where we both say is serious yet I still feel like she doesnt love me that much.
My girlfriend doesnt show that much affection at all, especially not by text. I tried talking to her about it and she says "its just the way I am" or "ill try" but nothing has changed.

Maybe she comes from a family that doesnt show a lot of affection so its hard for her to show it too. You have to dig deep to see what the real underlying issue is. Maybe shes not comfortable with you or doesnt feel that strong towards you

Once hear d story about a couple getting ready to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.  The woman asked the man if he still loved her.  He said yes.  She asked why he doesn't tell her that any more.  He said that he told her the he loved her when they got married and he would let her know if things changed.
