Likely you will still grow a couple inches yet. I doubt you will ever play for the NBA but then again few guys ever will be tall enough or good enough to be a member. Be happy you are healthy as there are plenty of disabled people who would swap with you anytime as they would be thrilled to be a healthy 5'6" 14y/o guy. Don't cry because you think someone else got a bigger slice in life than you did. Everyone has things they wish were better in themselves but crying over it never did anything to improve their life. Be grateful you have a dad who loves and cares about you as he did nothing wrong. Guys who will never be overly tall still do well in life. Those who seem to get all the best in life generally end up getting nowhere because they don't appreciate what they have and think they can blunder their way through life and everyone will love them and they don't have to make any effort.

Since you're 14, you're probably not done growing. You'll probably get a bit taller yet. There's no cause to be upset with your dad about your height. You wouldn't have been born at all without him. He didn't choose his height or his genes any more than you did.
I'm 5'7" tall and not growing any taller. Yeah, it's shorter than average, but it's not a disadvantage in any way. Height doesn't make you better or worse. It's not relevant for most things. It's just a part of you, like eye color.

It isn't your dad's fault. None of us has the ability to choose or alter our genetic coding. It is what it is. Just recognize the fact that you are a unique, special person, and try to enjoy being you. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being short, or tall, or thin, or fat, or black, or while, or anything else.

If he had not fathered you, you would not exist, short or tall.
