    fire

With that we have been able to make every type of technology or increase /speed it, it cooks food, sterilizes things, makes things healthy, protects from cold and animals, small wonder that early mankind (genus Hom0) used it.

Fire, no doubt. Agriculture has only been around for less than 10,000 years. The control of fire by early humans was a turning point in the cultural aspect of human evolution that allowed humans to cook food and obtain warmth and protection. Making fire also allowed the expansion of human activity into the dark and colder hours of the night, and provided protection from predators and insects.

Without slash and burn agriculture we wouldn't still be here to talk about the virtues of agriculture. Fire.
