How much time do you need to own a dog?
Im looking for a guard dog like, doberman, german shepherd, or pitbull.

A guard dog is a full time job for the first two years of its life, as it takes intensive obedience training from day 1.
After that, its not like a burglar alarm and cant be left to get on with its job. they need constant supervision, work and practice.
