Can some Leftist explain how this ISN'T Obama's fault?

The left is insane. Even if there were terrorist acts after these cowards were released on American soil the left would find some way to blame conservatives.

It's long overdue that America closed it's illegal prison. Guantanamo stands for everything that is wrong with the USA. Sure, some of those people will be guilty, but if the case is so rock solid, then why not give them a fair trial under the law?

You do realize we've been holding terrorists in US prisons for several decades, don't you?

Moving the ones from Gitmo to US soil will not give them any benefits.

If anything it's a big positive:

* More transparency with the Red Cross and other POW watchdog groups.

* Less of a chance for escape. Think of it this way, we're putting these people in the middle of population centers made up of people who carry guns, and hate terrorists. If I were a terrorist, I certainly wouldn't try to escape - I'm safer in the prison.

First of all Obama is middle-right wing, the problem with a Bipartisan system, is that you don't have an actual Left-Wing(even though Americans like to pretend, factually you have Right-Wing(Democrats), to Far Right-Wing(Republicans), to Extreme Traditionalists(Tea Party)).

Secondly, terrorists aren't in Gitmo, people who can't have their status determined are, as soon as they are verified, they're put in rendition.

It's a little odd that these 'patriots' pay so little attention to facts, and the US-law, because this should've been obvious to anyone paying even a little attention.

You are totally right. It is absolutely Obama's fault that the United States is now paying some attention to the human rights it once pretended to support.

Can YOU explain to US why it is that so many Republicans don't understand that Gitmo (like ALL US Military Bases IS "US soil"? Did you think CUBAN law pertains at Guantanamo Base? Did you think it was FRAUDULENT when the GOP ran John McCain (who was born on a US Base in Panama) as their Presidential Candidate? Until this morning when he quit, did you think Ted Cruz was ineligible because he was born in Canada?

You mean, finally allowing people who have been held for years without ever being charged with anything, some hope of legal redress? Good for Obama!
