didn't Denise Richards divorce Charlie Sheen about the time the apparent HIVpositive first surfaced? Because Charlie Sheen says it was about 4 years ago and I think they divorced about that same time. I could be wrong but I thought I read that somewhere earlier today.

I wonder about the children; couldn't they be carriers as well?

Clear the air here. To date, no women have come out and said that he infected them. The ex wife has no duty to tell anyone anything, and she may have even signed some non disclosure agreement, and if she had spoken up it would just be all bad for her and the kids. She can't be held liable for anything because unless he said that he was going to have sex with a certain person and intentionally infect them with the virus, she had no knowledge or a crime that was to happen, and she would not be a co-conspirator anyway. Also, if any of these women who had sex with him had or have an actual provable case, Gloria Alred would have said more than she has talked to several women about it but hasn't proceeded with anything yet. She would have stated that Sheen was guilty of something. By virtue of the fact that she threw Bill Cosby into her statement shows that none of the women who contacted her has a good case. Bill Cosby? not even a close comparison. .

She claims she knew only for the last 6 months. You would have to prove that she knew of Sheen's sex life without informing the partners. There were also confidentiality agreement that many of the victims signed before having sex with Sheen. That may also have been part of Richard's divorce or even per-marital arrangements.

I'm NOT a Charlie fan but he is HIV positive which is totally different from having AIDS. His doctor specifically said that he does NOT have AIDS. Where I live you can go to jail for attempted murder for having AIDS & then having unprotected sex without notifying your partner. On the other hand, you can be HIV positive & there will be NO charge for having unprotected sex without notification.Now they are saying that he contracted it AFTER his divorce from Denise & possibly caught it AFTER he married Brooke Mueller. IF I was one of his goddesses, I'd be suing him at this point for non disclosure & endangering my life!!!

I find it difficult to feel sorry for Charlie as EVERY decision he has made over the last 10 years has lead up to this disclosure. I wonder IF he still feels that he's #WINNING right now??? His drinking & drug use are much MORE dangerous for HIS health than the HIV positive status.

I'm now waiting to hear what NEW show or movie that he has coming out. He has been an attention wh0re from day 1 & he just saved himself another $10 million by putting it out there for the world to hear!!! I'm sad to hear his diagnosis; but, I was NOT shocked!!!

I am not sure law has caught up to such situations. Can a person be held legally liable or be considered to have committed a crime if s/he has a contagious and deadly illness and does not inform others that they can contact the illness by touching/being physically close-to/having intercource with (etc) the originally-infected person? It goes into issues such as officially considering someone a criminal when s/he is terminally ill at least potentially and what should the punishment be? Forbid trearment and her him/her die? Jail him or her? Give him or her the death penalty? Even if a person knowingly infects others with a deadly disease that he or she himself or herself is infected with I am not sure if it would legally be treated as if it were someone (who has no deadly disease himself or herself) who took a container of germs or viruses from a laboratory and went around spraying people with it so as to make them sick and eventually die.

If someone knew that someone else was going to do such a thing and does not tell the police, is s/he accountable legally and ethically ? Probably yes.

If someone knows that someone else has AIDS or HIV and knows that that person is spreading it to others and doesn't tell anyone , is s/he accountable?

Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen were divorced in 05. He contracted the disease the same time as his meltdown. Brooke Mueller and he divorced in 11 neither she nor the children have HIV, so how does this work, lets blame everyone?

What I find astounding is that I hear no compassion for a man who does as much as possible to help others who are ill. who is going to sue him when they themselves know his lifestyle and slept w/ him unprotected? They could have given Charlie the disease. Nobody knows, so please show care for our brother who needs our love right now.

You keep saying "years" yet you don't know how long it's been, and you don't know that Denise knew. You want to know why someone didn't leak it to the press. You do know that illnesses are private matters don't you? You're so silly. Private matters usually don't come out unless it's a court matter and the person themself are questioned or their psychiatrist or doctor testifies. What is it about the word "private" that you don't understand?

Accountable for what? Since when is she or anyone else the keeper of the key to Charlie's cage. It is HIS story to tell. Furthermore, he DOES NOT HAVE AIDS. He is HIV positive only. They are not the same. Just like Magic, he is positive but does not have AIDS, much less FULL BLOWN, really. People can be so absurd. I sometimes which ignorance was painful.

Sheen said he contracted it or at least found out he had HIV 4 years ago. That was around the time he divorced his last wife Brooke Mueller. He and Denise were divorced way before then.
