how come my cursor goes to sleep?

I recently did the free windows ten and now the cursor goes to sleep when I leave it sit for a short period of time. Is that a Windows ten feature? Its annoying because I have to move the mouse to wake it up. is there a way to stop that from happening?

Dude, "cursor" refers to either the small, blinking vertical line that indicates where typed characters will appear, or the mouse arrow.

Nothing called cursor will ever go to sleep, regardless of how your computer is configured.

steve_loir tried to be helpful, ignored that you don't know what a cursor is, and tried to steer you as best he could to the most likely setting.

Replying with condescension is NOT appropriate.

You can set when sleep happens; five minutes, two hours, never.

See Control Panel, Power Options. It's been in Windows forever.
