Find the points on the curve
y = 2x3 + 3x2 − 12x + 4
where the tangent line is horizontal.

y = 2x³ + 3x² - 12x + 4
y' = 6x² + 6x -12 = 0
x² + x - 2 = 0
(x-1)(x+2) = 0
x = 1 or x = -2
y(1)=2+3-12+4=-3
y(-2)=-16+12+24+4=24
(1,-3) or (-2,24)
