Could you help me decide what kind of longbaord I need?

Hi there everyone,

a few weeks ago I tried longboarding for the first time. I tried it out with a very cheap board, but still fell in love. The problem with the cheap board however is that it doesn’t take me very far, it’s really hard to control it and it’s starts to whobble by very slow speeds already.

What I want to use the board for is mostly cruising, so I want to be able to ride in the city and also on grounds that are a little rocky. Meaning, I don’t want to fall off the board just because of some tiny obstacles on the ground.

I mainly want a board that is easy to maneuver and that takes me far with just one push. I’m more or less still a noob, so I only assume that I’d need a board with soft rolls and a medium flex. But since my last board was already a disappointment I want to make things right with my next one. Well, I don’t have that much money, but I sure hope that I can still get a good one for under 200.

Could anyone suggest a board for me?

Thanks in advance!

Just go to your local skateshop and check out their longboards, you'll have no problem staying on and peddling. Good skateboards are around $150, you get what you pay for. The bigger and softer the wheels, the larger objects you can push through without falling off. Have fun :)
