Should the pope quit making political comments and just stick to making holy-water?

Funny how it was just fine for the Pope to make political comments when right wingers agreed with them.

Easiest way to disagree with the Pope. Instead of making counterpoints just claim incompetence.

What exactly is political though... he's talked about things that are environmental, social, etc. Why should these things be automatically "political," they're more important than that.

I don't think he is capable of making water `holy` ... he's too much of a socialist.

Why would the head of a sovereign state not make political statements??

He's not good at either of these. I think he should step down, close the Vatican, sell it, and use the funds to help cure the world's ills.
