How come they suddenly eliminated the possibility of editing the category of someone else's question?

I don't see the edit button either. Closing the browser and clearing cookies didn't bring it back. YA has been changed a lot, I think that with those changes came lot of programming errors causing numerous problems such as this one. They may not even be able to find the errors in the coding so most of them are here to stay.

I still have the Edit button underneath your question where I can edit the category.

Check on the left hand side? Do you see your name/avatar? If not then this is the reason why. There is a glitch where it looks like you are logged in but it's not completely for some reason. I've had it before and I don't see my pinned categories or my name/avatar.

Usually I click the "Mail" on the right to open up mail and sometimes it will prompt me to log in (sometimes now) and then go back to Answers and refresh the page and the pinned category etc come back, and I would imagine so would other functionality such as Edit Category.

I would recommend that you log out, close your browser, and clear out all the yahoo cookies. Then open the browser and sign back in again and see if that helps.

Yes, there is an extraordinary amount junk posted all over, and it's too bad because there are good experts that still want to help and good posters that want to learn and want help.

I sill see Edit and Edit category on your question so it doesn't look like they have taken it away..
