Jehovah's Witnesses, when your god commanded that parents eat the flesh of their disobedient sons and daughters in Lev. 26:29?

Jeremiah saw the fulfillment of many prophecies conveyed to God’s people, including ancient prophecies. Centuries earlier, Moses set before Israel the consequences of obeying or disobeying God—either “the blessing” or “the malediction.” Jehovah wanted the best for his people, the blessings. The maledictions resulting from disobedience, on the other hand, would be horrendous. Moses warned—and Jeremiah later repeated—that those ignoring and opposing Jehovah would even “eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters.” (Deut. 30:19, 20; Jer. 19:9; Lev. 26:29) ‘Could such an awful thing actually happen?’ some may have wondered. Well, during the Babylonian siege, when food was not to be found, that did occur. “The very hands of compassionate women have boiled their own children,” Jeremiah reported. “They have become as bread of consolation to one during the breakdown of the daughter of my people.” (Lam. 4:10) What a tragedy!

TO OBEY IS BETTER THAN SACRIFICE.

2 Kings 6:29

29 So we boiled my son and ate him.+ The next day I said to her, ‘Hand over your son so that we may eat him.’ But she hid her son.”

Jeremiah 19:9

9 And I will make them eat the flesh of their sons and daughters, and they will each eat the flesh of his fellow man, because of the siege and their desperation when they are hemmed in by their enemies and those seeking to take their life.”’*+

10 The hands of compassionate women have boiled their own children.+

They have become their food of mourning during the breakdown of the daughter of my people.+

For every action there is a reaction

God always spoke of things that if they don't listen it was going to happen to them

When he says he is going to do something, it means he is going to allow it to happen

meaning you have done something and lost his favor, basically you reap what you sow

this is an example of it actually happening

But, to tell you the truth, have have read it many times, it has not made me that mentally ill to describe it like you do

Taken out of context it sounds like a command, but that is how people choose to twist the meanings of the bible. The text in fact is a promise of freedom from the Lord.

The flesh eating part is a punishment.

27 “‘If in spite of this you still do not listen to me but continue to be hostile toward me, 28 then in my anger I will be hostile toward you, and I myself will punish you for your sins seven times over. 29 You will eat the flesh of your sons and the flesh of your daughters.

The fact of the matter because of their disobedience to God, God gave them up to uncleanness and to eat the flesh of their sons and daughters because they disobeyed God commandments, so God gave them up to a reprobate mind, like in Romans. you have to compare scripture with scripture to get the whole truth of the bible because God spoke in parables and without a parable God did not speak.

when food was so sparse in Jerusalem during it's siege they resorted to cannibalism It came true in history

God punishments came true because Israel worship idols

Don't even listen to that cult. The people that translated the bible into that form, only one had studied the bible. Every time they read the bible they read a poorly translated one, just compare their bible to any other bible. You will see the difference
