You can copy them over USB. Connect the Kindle to the PC then turn Kindle on. The PC should recognize it and see it like a flash drive you can look at and copy files from.

Alternately, while the Kindle is hooked up this way, Calibre may be able to load or import the ebooks from the Kindle.

HOWEVER if the books belong to someone's Amazon account then Calibre may not be able to display their contents. Most commercial ebooks are DRM protected and can can only be read on devices/apps from the same company which are registered to the ebook store account that owns the ebooks.

The Kindle should have a USB socket. With a suitable lead, you can connect it to your computer. (New Kindles have a lead in the box, but they tend to go missing or get swiped for use with other gadgets.) If you start Calibre and plug the Kindle into the computer, Calibre should recognise it, and ask whether you want to import any books from it into the Calibre library.

Connect your kindle into your computer and then open the files on the computer. Drag the epub files onto Calibre. Its a great software, takes a while to get used to it but its brilliant
