It is hard to argue with onedrop's assessment, but in truth nobody before or since has ever peaked at a higher lever of ability and performance as Roy Jones Jr., I honestly don't ever think a prime Sugar Ray Robinson was better than Roy at his best. I stood ringside for the Jones/Toney fight, and believe me, Roy was something extraordinary, I have seen thousands of fighters, and literally tens of thousands of minutes of tape, and I have never seen his equal. Historically, Bhop did far better later in life, but individually Roy at his best was far better than Bhop and his. History may very well view it the way onedrop claims, but reality would put Roy way ahead of Bernard.

It's got to be Hopkins, it's close but RJJ has gone on too long, he's beating bums now just to get paid but he's a bum now too I'm afraid. If I was Eddie Hearn I'd be asking him if he could get himself back up to Heavyweight so that Joshua could get a W on him, that would look good on paper for Joshua to have TKO 2 next to RJJ.

He's a legend there's no doubt about that but Hopkins is older and fighting at the highest level and is credible too like people were tipping The Executioner to beat Sergey Kovalev last year, sure it didn't happen but he went the distance. Roy Jones would have been blasted out within 3 if he fought someone of that calibre now and he's 4 years Hopkins' junior.

Because of what Hopkins has achieved in his later years and Jones' lack of later years achievements I'm saying B'Hop

BHops is ranked higher at middleweight, maybe a top 15 middleweight of all time.

Roy JJ is better p4p. Only 2 boxers in history won titles from middleweight, light heavyweight and all the way up to heavyweight; Rot Jones Jr and Bob Fitszimmons.

RJJ tested positive for peds and he never became the true champion at middleweight or heavyweight (only won a papertitle when Lennox was the true champion).

RJJ was **** compared to Fitszimmons who became undisputed in every division but RJJ is still better p4p than BHOP

I agree 100% with OneDrop, except for letting Joshua slaughter RJJ. That'd be cruel lol.

In his prime, Roy is ten times better. Very few people would beat a prime RJJ. That being said, B-Hop's longevity and achievements surpass RJJ's, it's a complete blowout.

As an ATG, B-Hop definitely gets my vote over RJJ.

Roy Jones because he's faster, more athletic, had an explosive punch and was more exciting to watch.
