It's not.
1.) December has winter, which is cool. July is in the summer which just sucks being overly hot.
2.) July may have the birth of America, but December has the birth of Jesus!
I was born on Dec 23, so that's another one for Dec.

I prefer December because I like the cold and Christmas more than the heat and 4th of July.

In December in England, it is virtually dark by 4.0 p.m. and not light again till after 8.0 a.m. plus it's cold, wet and often sleety, sometimes foggy.
Give me July anytime - it is still light in the evenings and in the morning, plus there is a good chance that we may get some sunshine some of the time.

December is harsh due to winter and the snow. July is vacation and sunny so you get to go to beaches, camp, park, and amusment parks etc.

A whole lot warmer than it is now, that's for sure! I was born on the 4th of July (doubly good).

Could be because it's the first month after June which is summer. December, I never provoke this month, it's the beginning of winter.
