Grisaille is a used for creating sculptural images grey scale images.
Temperature can be created by using either warm or cool colour……….warm reds and yellows……….cool blues and greens.
In painting an under layer of a warm/ cool colour can alter the effect of the final piece.
I;m not sure about local colour but if you have a pice which is predominantly warm colours..say oranges and red then a tiny bit of the complimentarycolours blue/green would balance the image.
