How many of you know about or have listened to Ritchie Blackmore's folk rock band, formed with his wife Candice, called Blackmore's Night?

Ritchie Blackmore's one of my favorite guitarists, in both Deep Purple and Rainbow, and I heard of Blackmore's Night. I also remember coming across them when looking on YouTube for Jethro Tull's "Rainbow Blues" -- they had done a cover, and a cover of "Child in Time", and I wasn't too crazy about either of them. This is the first time I've heard them since then, and I like this a lot more -- I'm a sucker for European folk rock. However, I still have a few problems with their music. The production is a bit too glossy, where it should have a sparser, more authentic sound to fit the melodies. I'm not all that fond of Candice Night's voice -- not that she's bad, but that it isn't particularly strong or distinctive enough to add anything. A Maddy Prior or Sandy Denny-type would be a better fit, given their voice and their vocalisms. Still, I'm now interested in checking out more of their music.

Since I'm a really huge Ritchie Blackmore fan,I'm familiar with Blackmore's night.I like a few BN songs but I like his metal/hard rock stuff more.But the medieval theme is really cool.

I myself am not fan of this type of thing.

His former rock music is where my loyalties lie.
