I have been listening to metal for over 20 years. This has been one of the primary focal points of my life and will continue to be for a very long time. Here is a list of my favorite top 5 metal albums of all time.

1.) The Crown - Deathrace King (This is the greatest extreme metal album ever created hands down)

2.) The Crown - Crowned in Terror (Another scorcher with Tomas Lindberg from at the gates on vocals)

3.) Emperor- Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk (The greatest black metal album of all time)

4.) Watain - Sworn to the dark ( Swedish outfit who actually believe in their own insanity)

5.) Overkill - Iron bound (Old School East Coast thrashers showing their experience later on in their career)

Notice the crown received two marks on my list. They are the most underrated band in metal of all time in my opinion.
