Who agree most of death metal is disgusting and pointless?

I agree that most people who don't like it probably have a similar opinion of it. I really don't consider the bands you listed to be death metal anyway.

I don't really like metal at all. I can't stand it in fact. I can never understand the words, and a lot of the time it just sounds bad. But a lot of people like it...

That's absolutely retarded logic. It's fine not to like something you don't understand, but to say it's bad is just rubbish.

Everyone who dislikes it has probably heard one or two bands and decided prematurely, "Oh, gee. This is talentless." There is great death metal out there, however, and it takes an incredible amount of talent to create.

I love melodic death metal, and melodic death metal bands such as Arch Enemy is my all time fave. I don't care if people say they hate metal, the ones who usually say that are one of those pop, rap mainstream freaks that hate anything they don't understand. If you can't understand the words, fine but you don't have to hate it because you can't adapt to different vocal styles. In fact, in my opinion, metal is one of the most talented, artistic forms of music and the fact that they use growling and other styles of vocals makes it even more intriguing. It's hard enough to sing really good, but it's just as hard if not harder to control your diaphragm and muscles to deliver out the best screams.

I'm not a big fan of death metal but I wouldn't call it pointless. It may be pointless to you but not to someone else. Music is very subjective.

Lacks talent? What?? Death metal is the complicated genre! Try doing death growls at Busta Rhymes speed like Corpsegrinder from Cannibal Corpse does. Or fast, complicated riffs and solos like Chuck Shuldiner used to make.

I disagree. I'm not a huge death metal fan, but it takes a lot of talent to make.

listen to C.o.B., ensiferum & dimmu borgir... i <3 them. and death metal is not pointless. just coz you don't like it doesn't mean it's worthless.
