Rap vs Metal?

If this question is asking whats a better genre then I can't answer that because I have never listened to Metal so I can't Judge it, plus I would never say a Certain Genre is better then another Genre because its all really your opinon and what kind of music do you prefer, now if this question was asking what do you prefer, Rap or Metal then I would have to say RAP because I am a Hip-Hop Head - Peace

Obviously if you put this question in Rap and hip hop, people are gonna say rap. Same if you put it in Metal. But I think rap is better. Good rap has meaning to it and can inspire people. Everyone who hates rap only knows about Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj. They don't know Nas, Rakim, Tech N9ne, 2Pac, Biggie, Mobb Deep. Many rappers put multiple messages in their songs. Nas' "I Gave You Power" is about the pain a gun goes through with all the people it kills. The song could also be seen as a song opposing gun violence. "The Message" by Nas has some of the truest lines I've ever heard. "Love changes, and best friends become strangers." That is the truest line I've ever heard in a song. Many metal fans hate on rap saying its nothing but drugs and sex but you can easily say that metal is nothing but screaming satanic things into a mic. Not hating on metal but just saying.

Don't mistake metal for the gay emo ****** that wear makeup and spandex. Those are the guys that us metalfans have to deal with being on our side. I can't take rap artists seriously if a hit-song contains the phrases bang-bang and oblah

Put this question in rap and hip hop, you expect rap and if you put it in metal you expect metal.

Rap, I can't take metal fans serious when the male fans wear make up.

Hip Hop. In Metal, the musicians scream until they have a heart attack or aneurysm.

Rap has more feelings & soul to it....and hits hard & strong
