What would a good piano method be for me?
I've played guitar for about 8 years, can figure out a lot of songs on piano by ear, and can read music for voice. I know chords and scales pretty well, I'm just trying to learn more about classical-style composing and I feel like getting better at piano will help me a lot.
My favorite contemporary artists include Radiohead, Bjork, Sigur Ros, The Beatles, Vampire Weekend, The Shins, The Beach Boys, The Divine Comedy and Sufjan Stevens. My favorite composers include Jonny Greenwood, Thomas Newman, Hans Zimmer, Jan Sandstrom, Brahms, Purcell, Handel, Rossini, Mendelssohn, Tchaikovsky and many others especially choral music composers.

This series of books by Alan Bullard is very good

If you are in the USA though, you may find the english style of note values etc slightly confusing and maybe you'd be better off with something like this
