Do you have a favorable opinion on neck and facial tattoos?

Last year I got my wife's name in large script on the side of my neck. Later that year she got a small cluster of stars at the temple dropping down onto her cheek. We took the plunge and decided to ignore any negative comments. We received no negative comments. Even got by with our moms. My wife's manager asked, "Does that wash off?" She made a light joke and has never heard anymore.

This year my wife wants to get a neck piece and I may get something on my face. Any comments?

If it's something either or both of you really want then go for it.

I don't have tattoos on my face or neck by my mate has his kids and wife's names tattooed on his neck and it's his favourite by far. He agonised for ages about whether to have it or not and then about the placement before choosing a place high up where it's always visible no matter what sort of shirt he's wearing.

There are always going to be some people who aren't keen on tattoos (wherever they are placed) and we have all seen really bad jobs where you wonder whether the tattooist knew anything at all.

However, between you and your wife you already have positive experiences of both neck tattoos (you) and face tattoos (your wife) so you know what to expect.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

I have one behind my ear, which I guess is technically my neck. It's small and I can hide it with my hair any time I want, so I think mine is fine. I've seen plenty of the people who have them and look good with them. But just like tattoos anywhere on the body, I think there is a right way to do it and a wrong way. As long as you get a good artist and tattoos are spaced correctly and not mushed together, I think they can look quite decent (:

So, I know I'm just a stranger on Yahoo Answers, but my personal opinion is that you should maybe sit down and really talk about it. Something on your face? It's beautiful, why ruin it with ink?

Imagine yourself in 50 years, would you really want tattoos all over your face. Now, this is just my opinion, but I think that tattoos are amazing IF they are small and in not very noticeable areas (ex: heel) and can easily be covered for more formal occasions.

Do not do anything you are not sure of with tattoos as you might really regret it later! Tattoos are, well, permanent. Also know as, they last as long as you do. You die, they die with you.

    How about you go to

    http://tattify.com/

It sells tons of temporary tattoos that look very realistic and last for quite a while. How about you find a tattoo similar to the one you currently want and try it out for a few days? Better to find out if you really want it now than to regret it later! But, it's your life. If you are sure of this decision, than that is your choice.

    Good luck! :)

Do whatever you want. I don't think it was a good idea to get your wife's name tattooed on yourself, but as long as the place you work doesn't mind neck/face tattoos then knock yourself out.

god, don't do it, face tattoos totally give the wrong impression, try a henna first, then see what reactions you get!

Well when you get a divorcee next year, you won't be able to afford its removal.
