The republican party has lost it's center. Is the party over?

Is the republican party doomed? They are bigoted antiwoman and completely out of touch with both the mainstream and their own roots. The party’s voter base consists of neo-confederates, white supremacists, know-nothing libertarians, and evangelical theocrats. They have lost their way, from standing for conservative values, a more limited government and a free market to proclaiming that masturbation is a sin and that homosexuals are the cause of autism. Is this the end of our traditional two party system or can the plutocrats save the soul of the republican party and silence the crazies that wish to run the republican party?

I don't watch MSNBC or any television news. I get my information about the republican party from conservative websites. They are terrified.

Just looking for a new 'Base Voter'. The clean cut educated morally sound Republican of the sixties and seventies vanished in large numbers when secure well paid jobs were outsourced. It is difficult to expound the work ethic and bootstrap philosophy when you are on minimum wage and  in a job that never lasts longer than a few months and is less than 30 hours a week. It will be curious to see what the GOP morphs into, one thing is certain, rock solid respectability is unlikely to be in the picture much.
