how do u build a platoon bridge, that is a temporary floating bridge across the Bering straight?

how do u build a platoon bridge across the Gibraltar straight or the Bering straight? with a temporary sliding open section?

    You are not the first to ask how a bridge could be built across this 26 mile stretch. In the 70's it was considered but the rough seas of the North Atlantic were problematic and the cost was prohibitive, as well as there would not be of much use due to the low population densities on each side. A pontoon bridge would break up in the seas.

    Strait, not straight

    You put down a bunch of anchors and float the sections out - uselessly in the Bering Strait because there are no roads worth using at either end.

    And in Gibraltar the construction would be destroyed by passing shipping before 10% done.
