My car suddenly has no power?

I own a 05 golf it has 105 brake horse power, all of a sudden I have no power at all it's also a bit jumpy an hard to start at times, could it be the turbo or just a diesel problem? Thanks

    I think it is likely to be fuel starvation.

    Replace the fuel (diesel) filter, bleed the fuel lines and try a restart.

    I am not a mechanic, but the last time I lost total power was when my timing belt broke . I couldn't move an inch.
