Amateur records do not translate to professional success and are not indicators of any professional success.

There are lots of great amateurs who never lived up to their hype.

In this comparison I am going with Robinson rather than someone that stayed in the amateurs too long.

Both amateur records are impressive but so far Robinsons professional record is more impressive.

Also; amateurs wore no protective gear in Robinsons era. They had the same protective gear as today for sparring, but not for amateur fights. Some of SRR amateur bouts are filmed, he has no protective gear in any of them.

GGG is still rising so we can't be conclusive yet.

Walker Smith Jr./'Sugar' Ray Robinson had 2 known and documented losses as an amateur and most records indicate that he had less than 90 amateur bouts.

    Wait, no.

It was 85-0. Not 185-0, that was my bad.
