Prior internet domain registration info?
I was checking on a domain name that I wanted to register and when I did a "whois" it shows as available. I know at one time though it was registered (around 2007 or so) and I am wondering if there is any place I can check that would give me the info as to who had it registered before? I tried archive.org (the WayBack Machine) but that didn't help. Any other place I could check to see who had it registered before.

Any registered domain is not possible to buy. There are lots of whois checker site. Most of domain registrant and hosting provider have whois checker. You can use them. If the domain name you wish for is already registered, you can use WHOIS lookup tool to find out detailed information about its registration. Offered by various leading domain registration companies and independent websites, WHOIS lookup tools can be easily discovered using any web search engine such as Google, Yahoo, and the like.
