Do violent video games make you more violent? GTA V? (PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION)?
I am 18 years old... yes that is 1 WHOLE year over the 17 year age limit to buy M games. However even though i am LEGALLY entitled to play GTA V, my parents are forcing me to sell my copy because they think because I am diagnosed with AUTISM that my mind is more impressionable to violent thoughts. They also read what is in my opinion a severely biased article that said violent video games cause most mass shootings and cause murders i.e. Newton. In the article they read it said "Companies saying video games do not cause violence are like tobacco companies saying cigarettes do not kill" They think that I will be more impressed to kill cops and bystanders just because I do that in GTA. Is there and articles you know of in SUPPORT of video games and could you guys list a few GOOD reasons as to WHY or why NOT I should play this game! Thanks.

If video games make people violent and crazy then tell me what kind of games our US government has been playing and what kind of games people have been playing for the last couple of thousand years.

It is how people react to certain things that causes events. For example if I played a violent game, I would just drop the controller down normally and carry on with my life. However a friend of mine reacts differently, if he finishes the same game I did he would be really churlish and feisty; always picking out fights.

That is not true, people create violence, I played violent games since I was 10 and I'm fine.

Violent games do not make violent people; some people are violent themselves
