Why do both Atheists and Religious people reject the logical arguement for God's existance?
Everyone seems to attack the logical approach to understanding the concept of God. Why do both Atheists and the Religious reject Logic? It seems silly to me.

Religion and logic? Are you joking?
The religious have a big problem with logic.
Atheists do NOT reject logic, we embrace it.
There is NO logical argument to say there is a god.

Atheists see Religious people as nuts. They believe in a magic man and follow a book that is riddled with contradictions and unbelievable stories that only a moron would believe. So any logical argument they bring up would be insane.
Atheists see things, if it doesn't have a mathematical equation to it, it does not exist.
Religious people see Atheist as just nay sayers. The Atheists have no moral compass as do as they see fit. They don't want to listen unless there is a scientist that is talking. They aways want the easiest way to become happy and don't care what happens after they die. So any logical argument they bring would just be self serving reasons to carry on without recourse.
Religious feel things. If it isn't of God then it must be evil.
I find the extreme of both camps very flawed. neither has a monopoly of loonies. I say if you are truly happy with your life, excited to wake up and face the challenges of the day you are on the right path. If however your miserable, want to pull your pillow over your head because life seems toounbearablel. You might not be on the most logical path in which ever side your leaning too.

You may be thinking an argument is logical when it's not. What argument do you have in mind?
I suggest starting by reading through the various common apologetics arguments linked at the bottom of this page. http://wiki.ironchariots.org/index.php?title=Argum...
As well as considering the counter arguments that are gone over, if you're interested in some of the main reasons why atheists reject them as illogical or not substantiating any god claim(let alone the Yahweh character).

I don't reject logic. I reject belief in gods because of logic. There are no logical arguments for any gods existence.

I find it much easier to believe in a non-Biblical "God." This would be an ultimate First Cause based strictly on logic and reason. Under the provisions of physical laws (some of which we know about), the universe came into being and began to evolve. The question then becomes, where did those physical laws come from if not from a First Cause? Some scientists maintain that the universe is just an accident, but again the question is how did such an accident come about without pre-existing conditions that allowed such an accident.

Because, first of all, there is no "logical argument" for the existence of ANY "gods", let alone yours. Second, if your "god" exists, then you wouldn't NEED an "argument" for its existence, it would be observable, there would be evidence, there would have been contact that was witnessed on a large scale. If you people had ANY real evidence for the existence of any one of your thousands of "gods" it would be headline news, the world would know within hours of discovery.
To summarize, if ANY "gods" ever existed, there would be no reason to make up fallacious "arguments" to "prove" their existence.

If such a logical argument exists, out with it.
It has been hidden for too long.
The concept of god is totally devoid of logic, reason, and honesty.
There is nothing to recommend it.

good question, I am a christian but I agree with you. However, have you noticed that within the last 15 to 20 years or so people have started to deny logical progression rather often?
I guess its a sign of the times and the sign says "massive amounts of stupid people"
