Don't you love it when someone in the Philosophy forum blocks you?
If someone is that offended because I don't agree with them I don't want to waste my time replying to them or reading what they have to say to me.

In Philosophy no one has blocked me as far as I know.
If they did I would at least like to know why they did.

The first time I got blocked I took it personally, but now I really don't what they do if they're so sensitive that they block me just because I don't agree with them or have their same views . What does irrirate me is when some fool writes me a hate filled Email & blocks me so I can't reply. That hasn't happened in a while since I took a 2 year break from Y/A but I won't be shocked if I get one again, even tho I am super nice & respectful in all my answers. Weird huh.

I dont care, to be honest. Chances are Ive already blocked them first. Of all the hundreds of people Ive blocked, its never once been because "I was offended by their perspective". I have only ever blocked people because they were consistently stupid, offering nonsense arguments, piss poor English or incomprehensible language, to the point of being abusive or belligerent. Ive blocked people that pretend to offer insightful answers when in fact they do not, and they do more damage than they do good by trying to come off more credible than they are. I block point gamers, too. Basically, I block anyone that is bigoted, hateful, malicious or destructive, deliberately offensive rather than offensive by accident, who dont care who they hurt or how their advice is used, who dont care whether they answered a question, whether they are technically correct or morally righteous, as long as it wins them points. If someone blocks me for what can only be a rational perspective and a good argument then it is their problem. Frankly I dont care to associate in any capacity with people unable or unwilling to debate rationally and openly.

Actually I prefer this section to many of the others. I haven't had anyone block me, nor have I blocked them. However, over in Religion, I have had to block many. It is not a bad thing to do and believe me, you get some peace of mind from those that are rude and have nothing to offer.

One of two things, either you are smart and is showing them up or you are stupid and they don't want to talk to you. In Religion, I have discussed God with several atheist. During our discussion I noticed that they were agnostic instead of an atheist, I said so. This angered them that a Christian should tell them that they knew there is a God but did not care. The reason I know what an agnostic is, early in my life I wanted to live without God and do my own thing. That is agnostic, I can not deny there is God nor Jesus neither will I the world tells me that.

I figure that when anyone blocks me from my true answers. then all THEY show is their IGNORANCE of Stupidity. I also believe their's a muslim in this area and a preacher that afraid of the truth or dont want others to know the real truth. Mike

Well, I guess the internet really is not the place for expressing opinions. But I say they just cant handle it.

Then it shouldn't matter. But.. you might also want to remember to treat others a little kinder if you don't always like the treatment.
Honesty doesn't have to be rude or unkind.
If you don't ever get over being blocked, whether you still are or not... it's nobody's problem but your own.

Blocks you? I throw that on the bottom of the pyramid of disagreement.
