How can i convince my mom to take more care of her electronics? we cant afford new ones?

Well my mom takes the absolute worst care of her electronics on the planet and the reason i care is because i use them too and i know we cant afford anymore (she is a single mom). For example she literally has spilled water on the power strip because i was "annoying" her! Yes u heard that right even with a 32 inch tv and a dvd playr plugged in she doesnt give 2 shits about it. When she spilled water on it i was sitting there cleaning the water as fast as i could and unplugging everything. Luckily nothing happen but still WTF is wrong with her!!! She claim nothin will happen and im being paranoid and overreacting and that she seen my dads house get flooded and everything still worked.well i dont believe her one bit lol but she has done a lot worse things. Just today she pressed the oranfge button on the power strip 2 times repeatedly with everything turned on!and beat the hell out of the dvdplayr with a shoe because it wouldnt read a dvd! The dvd player is very old and makes noise and i tell her to buy a new one and she refuses. She says as long as it show picture its fine.well it does show picture but the picture looks like ****! Does she care hell no and no surge protector either on nothing except my own stuff. Tvs on its last leg been through many power outs and i know it is approaching its death from lack of care for it. It makes buzzing from the back and it looks a bit pixelated but i expected it since she threw a damn shoe at it!!please help me 10 points

You should tell your dad, or tell her to take a break from electronics.

Also, tell her that abusing them will only cause the devices to be in even worse shape.
