I have an imac but no cd drive. How do I hook up my printer?

I recently bought a 21.5 iMac. Today I bought a printer but it came with a cd to connect the printer. I bought a canon pima mg2220. Is there anyway I can hoop up my printer with a usb cable or do I need to buy a cd drive?

theres three ways first you can try connecting your printer via usb and doing it that way, or you can buy an apple super drive for 80 bucks that plugs into your imac and its a disc drive and lastly you should be able to go online and find the software on the canon website and download it

Just go on the Canon site and search/download the printer drivers

You'll need to download the needed installation software from the internet (Canon's website). Here's a page where all the instructions (w/ screenshots) on how to download the drivers.
