If aliens exist, will we make contact in our lifetime?

It depends on aliens.They know about us but they will not make a contact until we grow up as a civilization.

The encounter can happen at anytime: tomorrow, next year, in 10 years. But I think it eventually will. We started sending out broadcasts into space about 60 years ago. If the closest civiliations to us are within 60-100 light years from us, they should be receiving our 1st broadcasts round about now. It'll take another 60 years or so for their own radio replies to reach us. But an advanced civilization might even use worm-holes and other hyper-speed modes of travel and communication. We might hear from them even earlier.

We as a society are not ready for first contact.
