Where do you guys think Ryan Newman will go?
Newman will be replaced by Kevin Harvick, as Tony Stewart decided his team can't handle 4 cars now. Richard Childress and Jack Roush could both expand back to 4 cars. I'd rather see him go to Childress, as Roush has, in addition to his 3 full-time Cup drivers, 2 full-time and 2 part-time Nationwide drivers, and loans one of his Nationwide drivers (T-Bayne) to the Wood Brothers, to give him some Cup drive time. This says to me he has his hands full already. In light of this, I hope Newman goes somewhere other than Roush. Penske also may expand and could ask Newman to come back. He's on a Chevy team and Childress is a Chevy team, too. The other teams are Ford teams. I think he'd go to Childress over Roush, due to the Ford thing. What team do you guys think Newman will go to if Childress and any or all of the others I mentioned that could expand offer him a ride or does the community think it'll be whoever can give the best deal?

I don't know if it will be an option for him but I'd like to see him in a second car at Furniture Row Racing. Childress has his grand babies coming along and doesn't have full sponsorship for a 4th team. Another option might be Turner-Scott Motorsports if their deal to buy out James Finch and his Phoenix Racing goes through. They have good cars from Hendrick, they just don't have the sponsorship needed to run competitively every week. If Turner Scott buys them out, that might just change and open up an opportunity for a top level ride.
3 thumbs down already? Wow, I didn't know that there were so many people out there that don't think Newman deserves a top tier ride!
I also would LIKE to know how you can give a thumbs down on one persons opinion.

Ryan seems like a good dude but he isn't overly marketable and he hasn't been posting impressive results over recent years. He won't be a hot commodity. But a commodity yes, and I think he will find a decent ride thought not great ride. Hard to imagine any team that is urgent to expand. We'll just have to sit back and see.

I think Ryan Newman, and Kasey Kane are becoming the last of the classic race car drivers. I mean guys who have the experience and abilities to race about anything, and have raced about anything.
Ryan Newman seems like a really good guy. I would only like to see him get the car available to be " The Rocket Man " again. He can still win races if he had the car. A fast car makes it fun, and I believe that is all he needs. Like many he just needs his MOJO back, the confidence of a top ride. Then watch him go. Given that fast car I believe also, he would make many very sorry they did not pick him up for their team.
I have never seen Ryan Newman loose his cool, a good thing I bet.

I hate to say it but I just don't see Newman signing with a big team next year.. Maybe he will take the 78 from Kurt and Kurt will move to a bigger team. Or maybe the 51 all year like Kurt did last year.. Im interested to see what will happen.

Newmans lousy and unmarketable. Once NASCAR mandated the tire compound changes around 2004 his talent or jack thereof showed through. He was a good qualifier that won many races on fuel strategy because of the tires. I hope to heck JGR doesn't waste their time.

Either RCR or the Furniture row team. But really it is a crap shoot, and a lot of things can happen before next season.

No where big. His best rides are behind him. He is the next Bobby Labonte.

Maybe RCR. Not sure. Newman is good and maybe a change will improve his career.
