is the apple the devils fruit?

My sister is now shunning apples because they are supposedly the "devil's fruit."

I would like to ask one of you if it really is, or if its just a religious myth.

Thanks!

Religious myth! The idea of the apple as the "forbidden fruit" from the Garden of Eden is only something that has come about in modern times as the Bible has been translated to modern sensibilities and languages. It's more likely that the fruit in the original text was a pomegranate or something else native to the Near East, where the Biblical texts were first recorded.

Everything in the bible is a myth. it's just a collection of stories written a really long time ago. There is supposed to be a moral to each story, and the bible stories are just how they chose to describe it. Scientists say, though, that if it was a true story it would not likely be an apple, it would be a pomegranate, based on where the story was to have taken place. So NO apples are not the devil's fruit.

It is not only a myth, is a bad myth, the Bible calls it a fruit, biblical scholars consider it to be a pomegranate, but pomegranates did not grow in Europe, so they used an apple instead.

no in reality it was very unlikely that there were apples in the middle east .Most likely apple refers to pomegranate when they say apple.Either way that fruit was from the tree of wisdom itself according to text so there is nothing wrong with eating store brought apples if that is what you are asking.
