What type of military jacket is this?
Look at this picture. What type of jacket is he wearing. It has Velcro on it that says "Air Force" and his name. I'm NOT talking about his Air force ACU's. I'm talking about what is under his ACU's jacket. It looks like a winter M-65 jacket or something like that. Please help thanks.

That would be the ECWCS 3 polar fleece jacket.
Also the Air Force does not wear the ACU (ARMY Combat Uniform) they wear the ABU (Airman Battle Uniform).
@ Haley. To be fair, yes, Airman assigned to Army units do wear the ACU for the most part. Generally only if they are deployed with them though. We have plenty of Airmen going through Army schools here at Benning and they all wear the ABU. But more to the point, the picture referenced is the ABU not the ACU.

Don't airmen attached to Army units wear ACUs?
A friend of mine that I went through WTC with used to be a CCT and he said he wore everything the same as the Army guys except for the name tag which said US Air Force.

To my eyes its a type of fleece, civil or military issue unknown to me.
As for the jacket the camo pattern is based on the old Vietnam era Tiger Stripe Jungle pattern.
Poor quality pic so hard to tell if one of the Vietnam era models or a more modern style made in Honduras / Philippines etc.. etc..

it somewhat is referred to as a shrug. it is not possibly a bolero - boleros in lots of cases come somewhat longer and characteristic a curve and frequently no closure; and a crop jacket in lots of cases closes and is derived longer yet - yet above the waistline. A shrug covers the hands and shoulders and frequently (yet no longer continuously) ties. do exactly a google for "long sleever sweater tie shrug" and notice what you arise with. could be annoying this time of 365 days. good success
