what is a NETWORK CARD also called NETWORK INTERFACE CARD?

what is it,

and what is the price range in either canadian or american money. for a wireless and a wired network card

    NIC is card which help your computer to communicate with other computers, computer have more than one NICs, there is seprate for bluetooth, WIFI and ethernet. NIC card also come in USBs. If you want one go to Ebay. You can go to futureshop.com too.
