On uti medicine but it still burns while peeing?
Went to the doctor yesterday morning. Found out I have a uti.he gave me a shot of antibiotics while I was there and gave me a perscription of antibiotics and a perscription to stop the burning while I urinate. He only gave me 6 pills to take 3 times a day for 2 days. I have 2 pills left but the burning is worse!!! Any ideas?

Wait until you've finished the course of ABX, and if it's still burning head back to your doctor. It could be the ABX, or it could be the infection you've got. Sometimes drs give out a general one that cover most infections and not the one that specific strain needs. Did they test your urine? Most short courses of antibiotics are general ones, and usually after 2-3 days after taking them symptoms start to disappear. I know exactly how your feeling, the same things happened to me many a time! If you're that concerned make sure you see a DR next week - get an emergency appt. if you leave it too long, the infections can spread further (like your bladder) then it gets serious and usually requires hospital treatment.
