Question about vaginal spotting?

Today after a bowel movement, I was wiping and noticed brownish discharge (vaginal). Some spots were red.

Is this vaginal spotting? If so, is it always associated with pregnancy? My partner and I have protected sex but occasionally have intercourse without protection (but not to the point of climax). I'm not on birth control and my period is not for at least another week.

I'm semi-worried. Thanks for all answers!

Update:

Is this common toward ovulation? Mine was 2 days ago.

Pregnancy is a possibility, but it is common for women to occasionally spot before their period. I wouldn't worry unless your period is late. Spotting is not uncommon:)

I dunno, but you should know that you can still get pregnant from unprotected sex, even if he doesn't climax. There may still be a few sperm escape, even though you can't see them. They're very tiny, normally there's billions but it only takes one! It's more common than you'd think.
