Technically it has not been proven so far, all we know is that its expanding at a rate of 74.3 plus or minus 2.1 kilometers (46.2 plus or minus 1.3 miles) per second per megaparsec (a megaparsec is roughly 3 million light-years). The material its expanding into is called dark matter, and scientists are still researching thoroughly to study the dark matter. Merci.

It does not have a shape...and since its expanding it has no end.
