How to lose weight without running?

A better way to phrase my question would be "I want to keep that top layer of body fat covering my muscles off me. How?"

I know that the best way to do so is cardio - running.

However, I hope absolutely no time for running. I do some yoga, and it's pretty intense, but it's a required class in my schedule (for me to graduate) but it's more muscle building than cardio.

Cardio exercises I can do at home? Or at least ones that will be quick?

Update:

I already have a great diet - I'm actually very thin and don't want to lose much weight, just that annoying flab covering my abs, which were beautiful until I stopped exercise for finals :( so no worries about eating well, I already do that, I have a strict regimen of iron, calcium, veggies, protein, and no sugar and limited carbs.

    You can work out but without cardio you will always have a layer of fat covering your muscles. I would suggest just moving around a lot or trying circuits. I know you said you don't have a lot of time, but just 5 and done wont do the trick. You could find time in the morning or after work/school. A quick ten minute jog isn't that time consuming. But if you are really on a strict scedual you could try jumping jacks for five minutes everyday or running up and down the stairs. Maybe instead of driving to yoga you could walk or run. Cardio circuit- sprint up and down your drive way three times, do 50 jumping jacks, hold a squat and punch into the air for two minutes and repeat. Just a suggestion :)

    I lost 120lbs and feel great but had the same problem when I started. Here's what I did. Cut out the following;

    Fast food, Sodas, Liquor, and start walking to destinations that take less then 15 minutes. Harsh but effective. Do this for 3 months and then increase your walks or if you want more (at home) exercise try doing some cleaning like room arrangements and lifting furniture when vacuuming. (a positive excuse for weight lifting). The more you look for exercise or muscle type activities while losing the wight the less flab you'll have as you loss the lbs. Lost about a pound or 2 a day doing this.

    pass on pop youll be amazed by how much weight you drop by simply switching to water

    fast food is salty food if you cut back on the salt in a few weeks youll be able to better taste the natural salts in food and may not crave the junk as much as you used to
