Xbox recording - recommendations?

A simple setup (Low Budget) would be to get maybe a Dazzle Capture Card, and set a Camera on a Tripod, Aimed at the Couch where he and his friends or whoever the group consists of, and have it running. Then in an editing software you'd have to Sync the two together, and probably Shrink the Camera Footage down, and stick it in one of the Corners. - The bad part of using this setup is the Dazzle Capture Cards are very bad quality, where they're supposed to be about 480p, they look more like 360, or 240p, the Dazzle HD would fix this a bit, looking more like 480p, but not being true actual HD. This is a common problem with Dazzle, and they also need to be plugged into a Computer to receive the footage. A Laptop is a workaround for this though.

Alternatively, (Higher Budget) You could purchase a Happauge device, either the Happauge HD PVR 2 Gaming Edition (Which needs to be plugged into a Computer as a destination for the footage) or the Happauge HD PVR 1/The Happauge HD PVR DVD recorder, the DVD recorder can be Standalone used without a Computer, as can the HD PVR Gaming Edition 1, and it's more suited to use for Xbox 360/PS3. But then comes the recording for multiple people. If you wanted Audio alone, a Large Jack setup and multiple Headsets with Wire Extensions would work, but if Video is wanted as well, a HD Camera, and set it on a Tripod as well. The Audio will come out a bit clearer, and the Video will be good as well.

There's a lot of Variability to setups.
